DeepSeek Unchained 1.9.1 is available now. For customers updating from public version 1.3.29, the current app brings together crypto checkout where offered and refund requests for eligible crypto purchases, protected storage for selected local app data, clearer account controls, faster, more reliable large-model downloads, and smaller safety improvements.
Crypto checkout and refund requests
Where an offer supports it, you can choose Pay with Crypto, confirm the email that will receive access, and complete checkout in your browser. After payment is confirmed, use Refresh Entitlements in the app.
If the service marks a crypto purchase as eligible, use Request Refund from Offers on the same device used for the purchase, then continue on the secure claim page.
Protected local app data
Saved chats, prompts, API and plugin keys, and local folder-path settings use an encrypted local store whose key is protected by your operating system.
Account and subscription control
Settings includes an Account tab where you can see the email linked to your access, current plan, and active subscriptions. Use Refresh Status to check access again or View Plans to compare options. Eligible MAX and Titanium subscriptions paid by card include Manage, which opens subscription management in your browser.
Faster, more reliable large-model downloads
Model downloads now run over several connections at once, so large local models can arrive several times faster, with the biggest gains on slower networks. If the app closes or the connection drops partway through, a download can pick up where it left off instead of starting over. Unchained still downloads every required part of a multi-part local model before loading it, no longer shows a completed retry as canceled, and checks available disk space before a multi-part download begins.
In some cases, the current unfinished part may restart; completed parts remain.
Smaller improvements
Supported HTTPS links in chat open in your default browser. Supported local file links reveal existing files inside Unchained’s data folder in your system file manager without opening or running them. The Windows installer is digitally signed.
