DeepSeek Installation Guide
Here’s how to install DeepSeek Unchained on your Mac or Windows PC. It only takes a minute, and no technical experience is needed.
For Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel)
Click Download for Mac on the Mac download page.
Open your Downloads folder and click the file you just downloaded.
Drag DeepSeek Unchained into the Applications folder.
Double-click the Applications folder to open it.
Double-click the app to open it.
Your Mac asks whether you are sure you want to open it. Click Open.
The first time it opens, the app downloads your AI model. Then you are ready to chat.
For Windows
Click Download for Windows on the Windows download page.
While it downloads, you may see a file named something like “Unconfirmed_216937.crdownload”. That is normal.
When the download finishes, your browser may say the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”.
Click the “…” (three dots) menu, choose Keep, then Keep anyway.
The file is saved as “DeepSeek-Unchained-Setup.exe”.
Open the installer from your Downloads folder. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC,” click More info, then Run anyway. DeepSeek Unchained installs and opens by itself, downloads your AI model the first time, and then you are ready to chat.
