When DeepSeek came out, we wanted to run it on our own computers. Every option we found was either too technical to set up or assumed you were a software engineer. Since we make consumer software, we built DeepSeek into a regular app that just works: download it, open it, and it runs.

No. DeepSeek Unchained is made by Electric Pipelines. We are not affiliated with DeepSeek, the company behind the DeepSeek AI models.

Yes. The download is free, and the Copper tier is free to use for as long as you like. There are no message limits.

MAX is a one-time upgrade that unlocks the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers on computers that can run them. It also includes document chat where offered in the app. You pay once — it is not a subscription.

Open the app and choose the tier you want. You can pay by card or with crypto, and the upgrade unlocks as soon as your payment is confirmed.

We will refund your purchase if the software is defective or otherwise cannot be delivered to you. Because it is a digital product, all sales are final once it has been delivered. See our refund policy for details.

A PC with Windows 10 or Windows 11, or a Mac with Apple Silicon or an Intel processor running macOS 12 Monterey or newer. You need 8 GB of memory or more, a few gigabytes of free disk space for your first model, and an internet connection for the first download.

The app checks your computer and suggests the best tier it can run well. More memory means smarter answers: Copper runs on almost any computer, while Platinum needs a high-end machine with a lot of memory. You can switch tiers in the app at any time.

How smart the answers are depends on the tier your computer can run. Smaller tiers are quick and good for everyday questions. Larger tiers handle harder reasoning, writing, and coding. If your computer has enough memory, try a higher tier.

Only to download the app and your AI model. After that you can chat completely offline. When you are online, the app also checks for updates.

That is normal for new apps. If your browser says the file "isn’t commonly downloaded," open the "…" menu, choose Keep, then Keep anyway.
